It is on the top floor with long shuttered windows overlooking the square.Local Information Beaches, harbour restaurants and the provencal market are all within walking distance. Antibes is a facinating old town. It is situated between Cannes and Nice on a promontory with the majority of the traffic passing behind it, inland as the main Autoroute is only 10 minutes away. It is approximately half an hour by car from Nice International Airport which has a bus service to Antibes and also the usual car hire and taxis. The medieval town has high sea ramparts. It was founded by the Greeks and then became a strong Roman settlement. In more recent times Picasso and Graham Greene lived here. The road outside is a pedestrianised street (cars can be brought close to unload). It sleeps 4-6 with the bedrooms on the ground and first floors. The living area is on the second floor.On entering the house through the front door there is a room with two beds and a bathroom. On the first floor there is a bedroom with twin beds and an en-suite shower room. In the living room the sofa converts into a double bed. Above the living area is a terrace which is half covered over and has French windows onto the sun terrace. There is room here for a spare bed or to use the area for storage. A garden table with sun umbrella and chairs are provided for the terrace as this is a perfect area for eating out and barbecuing in the summer. Accomodation Notes: Children are welcome and we have a cot available on request. The apartment is accessed from the street via two gates and some steps. Whilst being unsuitable for wheelchair users it is not too difficult for pushchairs to get in and out. The terrace is safe for children as it is on ground level and has a fence/gate. The apartment has electric central heating radiators although the Cote d'Azur boasts over 300 days of sunshine per year so rarely used. Your arrival and departure could not be easier if you are planning on using the efficient modern public transport system here on the Cote d'Azur. The bus runs direct from the bus terminal at Nice airport every half hour. The apartment is just a short two minute walk from the bus station in Cannes.
